Seattle Storms

My girlfriend and I went to our first Seattle Storms game! It was pretty fun :) Been awhile since we've been in the Key Arena.

Apparently this guy's famous? He goes to every Seattle basketball game and carries this sign.

Dance poses

Had fun doing a self portrait and drawing out dance poses :)

My first selfie. Took me about ten drawings before getting it right haha.

Figure studyin'. It really helps to draw what the pose feels rather than what it looks like. Talking to yourself helps too. For instance, looking at the bottom drawing with the lady that has her elbows up. I was trying to draw the "Ah, this is the life" feeling.

These were really fun since I used to dance a lot :D  Hiphop that is.

Gesture Drawings and Hitchcock Screening

Reviewed some of the concepts I learned from the gesture drawing class I took a while back with Pixar story artists Louis Gonzalez and Alex Woo :) Wish I could learn from these guys everyday.

On the way to the Hitchcock screening of The 39 Steps ! People look so bored on the bus.. understandable though. 

What's in those bags grandma? She's carrying a lot! Lady on the top right missed her bus.. felt bad because it was already getting late.

Sketching it up

Did some sketching at different places and events :)

Didn't know how to make the left drawing look like a stuffed-toy dog haha. Biggie on the right is real, the guy was waiting outside our door when we woke up :)

Warrior Dash 2013. I didn't participate BUT really enjoyed watching people dive in the mud and crawl under real barbed wire! One guy ripped his shorts trying to jump over the wires and another guy cut his forehead, ouch..

First time going to the Bite of Seattle. Gator on a stick was pretty good!

I miss doing figure studies.

There's always some interesting people during the commute :) Love it when people sleep. I get more time to draw :)

Philippines!

Went to the Philippines for my brother's wedding! Lots of great memories with the best family :)

 Resort at Punta Fuego. Had less than 5 min. to draw before we had to leave. Man this place was awesome!

Guitar Ensemble and SIFF

 Went to a Guitar Ensemble performance and decided to draw some faces from the audience and musicians. What a great time to draw because of the classical music playing in the background :)

This guy had some skills.

Studied wrinkles for a bit to some success haha.

Drew some faces in the audience while waiting for "Between Valleys" to play at SIFF. What a great, true-to-life film :)
